“would have thought” is where it goes horribly wrong. If you don’t really know what you are doing you probably will end up inflicting more harm. And of course, be intelligently manipulated by those smarter than you using the same vague umbrella you “would have thought” you were holding up but they “thought” to their (neoliberal) advantage.

Felber is quite clear on this point > https://renegadeinc.com/an-economy-for-the-common-good/

That's why I have the greatest respect for rare brilliant people like Brunlandt, McDonough and Braungart who know how to formulate intelligent definitions. And zero patience with stupid ones like “circular”, “doughnut”, “degrowth” and other XXX “economies”.

What surprised me are the vast herds of people that then diligently and totally uncritically (aka dogmatically) blindly follow these non-definitions. Wow. I need to radically readjust my view on mankind. We flatter and mislead ourselves totally in naming ourselves Sapiens. Herd’s don’t think.

My 3 continents, 5 countries youth deconstructed most cultural lock-ins and social biases. It opened my mind to parallel views and fundamental innovations.
