So if you have kids and can afford it, you could also hedge your bet on hope a bit. 10 years is enough time to prepare a piece (of climate change resilient) farmland with low maintenance agro-forestry.

I've bought 4 acres of good farmland to at least secure my own kid's future somewhat. Engineers never bet on hope :)
