The problem here is the fundamental asymmetry of gain/loss related to having power or not.

On the one hand, you have those who have much to gain from the (continuation) of the war (US, UK, EU corporate interests like Blackrock, the MIC, the more than likely corrupt clique surrounding Zelensky, etc) or even better the destruction of Russia (big corporations in energy, minerals and agro). They are far away, remain unharmed, enjoy the spoils and have the power to continue it. So they do.

On the other hand, you have those that are being harmed and even killed by it (the Ukrainians - dying, property destruction, displacement, Russians - soldiers dying, wasted valuable social resources, US - taxpayer losing funding for Medicare, infra neglect and more, the Europeans - economic deindustrialisation and inflation, North Africa and the Middle East -rising cost of food and energy). They don't have the power to change anything.

Only when the interests of these gain/loss groups are aligned will things change.

Only if Putin, Zelenski and his clique, Biden and his enablers, all the top generals involved including NATOs, all the CEOs earning from the war, Von der Leyten and all the other EU warmongers, are forced to send their children to the wars very front will things change. Only then will they too have something very real to lose.

My 3 continents, 5 countries youth deconstructed most cultural lock-ins and social biases. It opened my mind to parallel views and fundamental innovations.
