The only interesting question is whether Nupur Sharma's remark was historically correct. If it was then that is simply a fact about Mohammad that Muslims must come to terms with and accept as being part of who he was and set within the context of that time.

All actions that aim to suppress certain facts or distort them are acts of violence, a clear bid for power.

What the interviewer should do is ask Sharma why she brought up this point. It's that answer that is really interesting.
