Some Europeans too must have a huge financial stake in the continuation of this war and the sanctions they knew in advance would harm all Europeans. How else explain the active support of baroness Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission and her many other EU enablers? Sure, many of these top shots are ex-Goldman Sachs, which could explain their fealty to the US. But is that enough?
