Since you are more informed on entropy than I am, would the following make any sense to you? >
If the information on a low-probability occurrence holds a "'high information entropy" and the enthalpy of a system is the sum of all this (potential) entropy....
then to create a high enthalpy system we would have to fill it up with a potential of many very low-probability occurrences. Creating a potential for future high-surprise events and very unexpected outcomes.
The reason I'm asking is that in my critique of the vagueness of the term degrowth, I defined the measure of human development as the creation of future uncertainty. The more the better:)
It perhaps could provide an interesting guide for our societal development.
