Putin is quite right. Nato is about the force sale of US arms to all its Nato mignons. As Nato's sole purpose of existence is to guarantee this continuous and highly lucrative cash flow from Western taxpayers straight into the pockets of the Military Industrial Complex. General Eisenhower warned the world about this and we in the complacent West did nothing to stop it from happening. Best proof are the zero Western attempts to broker peace in Ukraine.

The reality of Europe will get a lot worse. Not only did the US rob us of our cheap supply of natural gas from Russia by bombing the pipelines (or having Ukraine do it for them) setting off a process of massive European deindustrialization. But once the post-fossile fuel era kicks in full, we will all be forced back to land carrying capacities.

For almost all the countries in Europe this means massive depopulation. Some nations will have to shed 50-75% of their population or start starving. The only not over-populated country these milions of Western European refugees can )hopefully) still turn to is Russia. Radically tuning down our arrogance now and start working towards peace on the continent is our only shot at any decent future for our kids. Or future Russia will slam its door in our hungry faces in remberance of our historic arrogance. Europe should think of its own future first, leave Nato now and start sending diplomates not rockets.
