pitty its a members only article, I would have loved to have reposted it on LinkedIn.
I am based in the Netherlands and it's the same sad mess here. As a seasoned structural engineer I have invented a structural wood connector. I've given up on all subsidies. As indeed I found out in the past, learning by doing, most are specially designed for the status quo who can afford their massive overhead costs.
Once my patent advisor gives my invention his green light I'm not even going to try to launch it in Europe. But am going to sell it off on the international markt. It most probably will end up in the portfolio of one of the many Blackrock owned companies. Europe can then rent it back from them instead of the reverse. But at least I get my inventions money' worth, which is impossible in Europe.
