Any idiot knew that the Ukrainians would lose on numbers. I wrote this on Medium at the very start of the war. Common sense dictated they should have then immediately accepted the Russian peace proposal. Zelensky will have to explain to history why he took up Boris Johnson's offer to sacrifice his nation to fight to a war they could never win. My guess is that his motivation is a combination of ego, personal profit and perhaps some Azov coercion.
