My guess is that (the early) Marx is next to be rediscovered. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metabolic_rift.

The big challenge is not to fall into dogmatism like in the ’20 and ’70. A danger the current green movement’s is showing with non-self critical quotes like “perpetual economic growth is unsustainable”. A rather stupid, wrong and harmful simplification of Schumacher’s “Infinite growth of material consumption in a finite world is an impossibility,”.

In a world which uses its non-renewables regeneratively and effectively taps the free and clean 173,000 terawatts of solar energy that strikes the Earth continuously (earth is energy wise not a closed system)…. then …GROWING GREEN ECONOMY is limited in its growth only by our imagination and creativity.
