Ok, and now the challenge: how can we, as humans, progress? I'm not referring to Kurzweil like techno-optimism, the hardware will solve itself. From where I stand, in the radical/unthinkable edge of the Overton window, it's more than clear to me that it is our current model of social software that has become outdated and dysfunctional.

But Walter Lippmann shows that public opinion is dependent on more or less rigid stereotypes that "construct" our understanding of reality. Add to that our human and social collection of deeply programmed biases, heuristics and loss aversions, all aimed to reinforce existing social fabric and order, it seems to indicate that the only way to change, aka to reset, is through some sort of collapse....or do you see any other way?

My 3 continents, 5 countries youth deconstructed most cultural lock-ins and social biases. It opened my mind to parallel views and fundamental innovations.
