May I suggest, that instead of teaching scepticism, we should encourage the understanding of complexity.

It's empowering for kids to understand the multiple layers at work and how they interact in all aspects of life. From ecological networks to social relations. It then becomes so easy for them to understand how shallow and stupid things like racism and fake news really are).

But interestingly enough, neither the Ministry of Education in the Netherlands nor the Office of the National Coordinator against Discrimination and Racism were even slightly interested.

It shows that the very foundations of our societies, our institutions, are basically brain-dead. So quite pointless to expect any better from the rest....

ps. my guess is that the newspaper-cutting article title was purposely meant as very old-school irony.

My 3 continents, 5 countries youth deconstructed most cultural lock-ins and social biases. It opened my mind to parallel views and fundamental innovations.
