It's a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. The fundamental mechanism of capitalism is to capitalise everything. Turn it into a tradable commodity and sell it for profit.

Carbon is simply the next item in this very long line of commodification. And it's even fundamentally flawed. Comically so. Because within this Carbon capture "logic" in its equation it would be great to replace fossil fuel transport with.....horses and mules.... Why, well because methane is not part of this money platform.

So we end up doing more harm than good.

What is badly lacking is an integral understanding of sustainability. The only reason this is not being advocated....well....because telling the truth doesn't lead to profit.

Derrick Jensen's lucid understanding of the integrality of our predicament is a capitalist's worse nightmare...but that doesn't make him wrong :)

My 3 continents, 5 countries youth deconstructed most cultural lock-ins and social biases. It opened my mind to parallel views and fundamental innovations.
