Indeed as Naomi Klein described in her book Shock Doctrine.
It's high time for a Europe united in its aim for peace and prosperity for ALL European people. Her very raison d'etre, why the EU earned the Nobel Peace Prize 2012. Time to leave the folly of the trans-Atlantic's focus on continuous war, against China next. We can do better. Must do better. Back to our EU roots of nie wieder.
And even better if it became a European Union of collaborating regions as Ulrike Guérot proposes instead of problematic "nation" states. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkSIgXPakSo
(For which I would propose using systemic consensus as its governance model and NOT the always polarising system of majority rule)
This division in collaborating regions (often defined by natural watershed boundaries - ecological shared interests) also much better fits Russia's complicated federation of republics, oblasts, krais, and okrugs. It too would save the EU's current huge crisis in legitimacy. So a massive win-win for all of us in Europe.
