I think you are missing a point here...it's a very conscious policy: the perfect excuse to increase interest rates. Three guesses who again will be the victim of that.

The only thing that surprises me is that the American people keep taking it. I'm European and am quite enjoying the resistance the French workers are currently putting up against their neo-liberal government. And the Dutch farmers too are putting up quite a fight and winning.
