I don't think you understand the Russians. Unlike Americans, they would rather go down in drama (pathos) than face defeat. The hard fact is that they are showing great restraint. Their bombers could have burnt Kyiv to the ground on day one, but they haven't. This says a lot about their respect for the Ukrainians.

All hopes are now on China, which unlike the US and its vassals, is not pouring in weapons to fuel the flames of war. And at least some Americans too understand what is really going on..
