Ha, yes the ape species we call homo sapiens sapiens (what a joke) will in some form surely survive. Like the other highly adaptive species: rats and cockroaches. But civilizations vanish. Egyptian, Babylonian, Mayan, Aztec, Roman, etc, etc. So why should this not too be our fate? We have after all vastly overplayed our hand.
