ha, ha, ... might want to look up the total US debt figure (government+private+corporate) and then realise what GDP growth figures are needed simply to service it.

Add to that BRICS's active steps towards serious (petro) de-dollarisation and their gradual dumping of U.S. Treasuries over the last decade...I can't imagine a worse investment:)

Buying real estate in Istanbul on the other hand might be a far wiser bet. Turkey has, compared to most Western countries, a relatively younger population, has through her diaspora an excellent global network and is on the trajectory of China's new Silk Road.

Not letting this happen is the main reason the US is investing trillions in the disrupting wars in Syria, Ukraine, Gaza and soon probably Iran and China. But her days of endless free money for these wars are counted. The wind of change is unmistakeably in the air. Turkey's central role in Eurasia, the largest continental area on Earth, is only just starting:)
