Forget current politics, they are worst than useless.

Even the “Green” party (GroenLinks) of Amsterdam prioritises high rise (predominantly built with concrete) above adding rules into the legislation for more green (less heat sink and cooling energy, more biodiversity, better air quality, water buffering, positive psychological effects, etc).

Glaringly all positives with little to no extra costs - all considered - and STILL they don’t do it. No neo-liberal insight to blame…no EU to blame...

So this is simply not going to work.

It's painful to say but I've given up trying (from within the system) and am going now (unfortunately) for plan B: brace for impact by preparing to strategically relocate my family. I can afford to. The painful truth is that many many innocent people who still have blind faith in the system are going to pay a very heavy price.

But I just don’t see it changing enough, let alone in time.

There is a famous monument in Amsterdam that an architect built to celebrate the stupidity of politicians: "Homo Sapiens Non Urinat In Ventum". The "sapiens" being the intelligent citizen. The wind: the powers that be. Now that is climate change.

The wind is coming so stop p***ing against human stupidity, you are, like Kassandra, wasting your valuable energy getting nowhere. Brace by re-creating a new society from the outside, in parallel (like with www.ecogood.org/). Relocate the power base by creating a real alternative so people have something to choose from... a safe haven.
