First, thanks for writing your well-written article. Much needed!

I recently got a lot of pushback here on Medium from "The Jewish Ghost" [1&2] . Very insightful to read and understand the fundamental weaknesses in their rhethoric.

1. Their historical claim (their "right" to not live in peace with others) is a very subjective point in the timeline of history.

"Before the Israelite conquest of Palestine, the Canaanites dominated the region, and the town of Hebron was an important centre. When the tribes of Israel invaded the country, the tribe of Judah claimed the entire area from just south of the site of Jerusalem into the Negev region (the area south of Beersheba)"

2. The term Semite "comes from Noah's son Shem in the Bible (Genesis 10:22), whose descendants were said to have inhabited the region. Semitic languages, including Arabic, Hebrew, Amharic, and Aramaic." See also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semitic_people Calling Arabs, especially Palestinians, antisemitic is fundamentally unjust because it is in flagrant denial of their joint history in the region. Most Palestinians are Semites just like the Jews who too originated from that region. Therefore the use of the term "antisemitic" must stop.

3. Israel's participation in the UEFA and the Eurovision Song Festival (and more) as the unique Middle Eastern country allowed to join the party, whilst all the rest of the region is excluded is very strange. This does suggest that there is some merit to the claim that the West considers Israel to be part of them and the rest not. Call it a colony if you want. But this open discrimination of the Arab states and the unquestioning support of Israel by the West is very harmful to the region and far beyond. It needs to stop.
