I remember walking the streets of Vienna at 4:30 in the morning and finally discovering who was keeping this city so spotlessly clean. A well-hidden army of workers of colour.

It was as if H. G. Wells had flown from 1894 to Vienna and then written his famous novel The Time Machine depicting the "perfect" class division. Day strollers in the sun and night workers in the shadows of the deep after-hours.
