Besides boycott, there is another option: actively create an alternative world and live in it.

That is why Christian Felber ended his must-read book (Change Everything: Creating an Economy for the Common Good) with a Buckminster Fuller quote.

“You never change things by fighting against the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the old model obsolete.”

So forget the government. Governments always follow, they never ever lead. So a waste of time to try and start change there.
