Many are actively engaged in programming and satellite guiding the many US, UK and French missiles that are killing people. In short, they are actively taking part in the war.

So let's ride on this proxy "behind the scenes" logic for an instant.... and invert it.

So if all the North Koreans going to the West are only "behind the scenes" missile experts guiding thousands of bombs on Kiev that would be perfectly acceptable?

Because if you don't find that acceptable then you, like most of the Western press, are applying double standards. Better known as hypocrisy.

At least the grown-ups in the world, like China, are actively advocating peace. So it's high time to ask the Ukrainian people what they really want? Their sons and soon their daughters too to be slaughtered on the battlefield or to be at peace with their neighbours.
