and weaponise it.
The Belgian philosopher Tinneke Beeckman describes this nihilistic post-modern play-for-power mechanism clearly in her book Power and Powerlessness (Macht en Onmacht).
It's all about tribalism.
The Putin ICC warrant for "16,000 suspected cases of forced deportation of minors", kids that are still alive, is applauded by the West. Yet Netanyahu's ICC warrant for the murder of 14,500 minors is vilified. The Western tribal "logic" on display here is that it's better to kill children than to save them from bombs and bullets. The non-Western-tribe members, like those in the BRICS countries, think we have lost our minds.
Zahawi and Hancock show in their book Masters of Nothing How the Crash Will Happen Again Unless We Understand Human Nature that the same tribal mechanism, the dominant culture, led here by unpunished greed and facilitated by stupid people purposefully put or let in places of power, led us to the 2008 banking crash.
Only enablers are let in and all dissenting voices are marginalized until the wall of lies collapses. Chris Hedges describes that the same is happening in journalism and is being paired with unabashed censorship.
How stupid can we get?
Especially if you listen to the Basilian professor Catarina Dutilh Novaes when she describes the dialogical roots of deduction...the cognitive science of reasoning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IOhYneseiM 39:51 "people are quite bad at recognising valid arguments or reasoning deductively. [...] but what is interesting is that if you put people together to solve deductive reasoning tasks and let them discuss with each other then people get much better."
The strength of humanity lies precisely in our ability to have different opinions and discuss them.
(it's why Systemic Consensus is a far smarter system of societal governance)
